Isaiah 55:1

“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.”

Greetings from the City of Gold – the dry land in Africa where many are coming in search living water!

On the 21st of February we held our first bring your neighbour day! We met at the beautiful Courtyard Hotel in the East of Johannesburg. The room fits up to 40 people. So we set out as a church and put before our God that he could fill the room and that we could have an attendance of 40!

At the service I preached the message – The Dream – followed by our dear brother Heshgood-Clarke from London who did a powerful communion about how he is learning so much about himself and his relationship with God! He has come to support us as a missionary for two months on his own expenses and has been such an encouragement to the church.

Concluding the service was our recently restored sister – Patricia Muzambi (she was baptized in Zimbabwe in the ICOC in 1989) sharing for contribution about how being committed in giving has helped her stay faithful to God!

At the end of service we were eagerly awaiting the full count of attendance… The total came to 38! So we simply concluded that God is encouraging us to keep setting greater goals and depend on him in prayer more so we may hit the goal!

Tribal African singing is such a distinct trademark of Southern Africa. At the end of service one of the young men I invited came out and had actually brought 10 fellow members of the choir that he runs. I told him that I would love to hear them and after some powerful time in fellowship I asked that for those of us left they give us a taste of what the choir’s singing is like.

Singing an acapella – they totally blew the crowd away and sang Gospel songs in various languages! (See the video below). Afterward I noted down every individual’s name and number and can’t wait for us to sit down and study the scriptures with each of them.

Please pray as this week we are looking to baptize a very talented individual with a powerful story of turning to God! Also keep our Easter service on 27 March in your prayers.

Can’t wait to see many of you at the AMC in June!
