Greetings from the Motherland of Africa & the Mid-Atlantic US!

“There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.  If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:28-29)
Dear Kip, Elena, and FOMM Family,
Greetings from the Motherland!  The Joburg Church celebrated our spiritual heritage in Christ as the nation of South Africa also celebrated their multi-cultural heritage on September 24th, a holiday known as Heritage Day!  In Lagos, the church is gathering a powerful team for our Accra, Ghana planting next year, and our new planting in Kampala, Uganda is picking up momentum as they focus on building their campus ministry at Makerere University!  Please pray for several predictions across our churches to make it by next week!

In our French Africa churches, the Spirit is blowing souls to the waters of baptism as our brother Blaise Feumba reports that 30 souls were added to their number this week in 3 churches and 3 remnant groups!  While Satan may be lurking due to government persecution in Burundi, we trust that God is working to strengthen the faith of his saints throughout the Motherland!

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA
With 11 national languages, the Republic of South Africa is unique on the continent of Africa – its diversity enables it to have an impact throughout the Motherland and beyond!
Sisters of the Joburg Church featuring their multi-cultural attire from tribes such as Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho and more!
Our diverse Marrieds Devotional on Saturday was exciting with friends who are eager to study the Bible!  Please pray for the Joburg Church as we focused for each of our eight Bible Talks to be fruitful with a man and woman by the end of the year!
We praise God for the nine officially planted churches (in orange) as well as the targeted plantings for 2023 (in green) in the AFRICANUS World Sector!  Please also pray for our remnant groups in yellow as we strive to obey the call of the Spirit to plant churches in every nation with a city over a million souls by 2030!
LAGOS, NIGERIA
Bolaji & Chinyere Akinfenwa (EVL & WML for the Lagos Church) stand next to some of the Lagos disciples who are eager to step up for the Accra, Ghana mission team in 2023!  Please pray for this valiant group of disciples as they prepare raise funds and find jobs to win this great West African city for the LORD!
2023 Mission Target: The capital city of Accra, Ghana (West Africa), home of over 5,000,000 souls!
President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana, Forbes Magazine “2021 African of the Year,” recently spoke to the United Nations about the need for a “United States of Africa” to build solidarity and economic stability – equivalent to the European Union.  Pray that this influential leader will become a disciple through the Accra, Ghana planting!
May God use Ghana and its “big brother” Nigeria – “cousins” in West Africa – to proclaim the Gospel throughout English-speaking West Africa and beyond!
Prayer Request:  The BBC reported this week that there was a demonstration by the National Association of Nigerian Students who are angry about the long strike of their lecturers, which has stopped them from having classes for the last seven months!  Please pray for our Lagos campus students to remain vigilant as they deal with the lack of educational infrastructure in Nigeria.
KAMPALA, UGANDA
Osas & Ariel Atohengbe are leading the charge powerfully in Kampala after their Inaugural Service with 100 souls in attendance last weekend!  Please pray for their efforts at Makerere University (#5 ranked school in Africa) to reap a great harvest!
God is spreading the efforts of the SoldOut Movement in East Africa as we spread the Gospel from Kampala to Nairobi (scheduled for 2023) and beyond!  Uganda is the “little brother” to Kenya – “cousins” in East Africa!  We already have a brother waiting in Ethiopia for a church planting, and Joburg disciples are currently studying the Bible with South African students who have Rwandan heritage!
The heritage of eternal life that we have in Christ is truly remarkable as we pray for God to build a spiritual “United States of Africa” through our church plantings!  May God use us to build a unity that is yet to be accomplished in the secular world through the love of Christ!

Much love,

Andrew & Patrique
