Dear Family,
Greetings from the Motherland! It is with joyful hearts that the saints here praise God for a dream that has come to fruition – the Grand Opening of the MERCYww signature project known as The Real MERCY School! THANK YOU to the McKeans and Bordieris for making this dream a reality! 
Patrique and I are also very grateful for the partnership of Bolaji & Chinyere Akinfenwa (Lagos Church leaders), Tony & Jacinta Adamu (Lagos MERCYww Coordinators) and Biodun & Yewande Abiodurin (The Real MERCY School Principal & Headmistress) who have worked tirelessly to make this project excellent for the LORD. 
🏾 Despite the challenges of COVID that delayed their move to Manila, Nick & Denise were able to travel for their first trip to Lagos and the African Continent! 
Welcome to Nigeria, Nick & Denise!! 🇳🇬
The humble beginnings of what was then known as The Real School began back in December 2018, with the dream of caring for the educational needs of children in the impoverished area of Okobaba, Nigeria – the largest overpopulated and impoverished housing project in the world! After baptizing Biodun Abiodurin and his wife Yewande in March of 2019, the school grew from a handful of primary school students to 100! Since the need for a new location was evident due to a recent fire in the community, plans were made to move the school to a more secure location.

Patrique and I were very grateful for the Bordieris to oversee the grand opening of The Real School as we wished we could have also been there to witness this great event! Sadly, the challenges of COVID here in South Africa would have made it difficult to return and continue the work here!

Our brother Nick will be giving a full report soon, but I just wanted to thank the Bordieris for making the sacrifice to come and witness “firsthand” the African challenge! As Nick shared with me, “Witnessing this first hand is invaluable. Zoom, photos and videos don’t come close…” God willing, more disciples from the US and other first-world countries will be able to visit Lagos in the near future and see how God is moving despite not having the comforts that many take for granted! In “other news,” the Lagos Church also witnessed the baptism of Victor Ogbujah, a professional musician who also owns a band!

Please also pray for the Joburg Church as we had a wonderful Mother’s Day Service and have two predictions in the campus and marrieds ministry for next week!
