Registration

• Register online here
• If coming from a country in Africa, there is no charge. Please email lagos@usd21.org to get promo code for Eventbrite.
• Conference registration begins 6:30 Friday at Terra Kulture Restaurant

Housing/Accommodation

• Please make sure your housing is confirmed before your flight
• Contact Yomi Bello at yomi.bello@usd21.org for details.
• Note: If you plan to come earlier or stay later than the conference days (June 24-26^th) you will be responsible for all expenses and accommodation. Please notify Yomi Bello if you plan on doing so for record

Handling Money/Valuables

• Keeping cash on you is best for exchange purposes
• Keep all money and valued items with you through you trip. Do not pack cash or valuables in your check-in luggage (which are exposed to checking by an individual who can take it)
• If you prefer card, remember to call your bank and place a traveling notice on the card.
• IMPORTANT: All bills must be produced later than year 2006 to be exchanged at the airport. (Larger bill denominations – 100’s and 50’s – tend to exchange at a higher rate)
  

Preparing to Stay Healthy

• Typhoid, Malaria, and Yellow Fever vaccinations (or temporary pills) are much recommended.
• Purchase Eucalyptus Lemon Spray which aids in repelling mosquitos
• Bring trousers or longer pants for night outings (That’s when mosquitos come out!!)

Flight

• Email flight itinerary to Yomi.Bello@usd21.org to be assisted in arrival.
• Iggy Odighizuwa and Bolaji Akinfenwa will be at the airport to usher you in and through.

General Flight Prep

• Pack lightly if you can for the checking process can be lengthy
• Any fluids, liquids, or bathroom items must be under 100ml if you’re carrying them with you on plane.
• Remember that all laptops and tablets must be checked separate from your bag, so pack your carry-on accordingly

 

AWESOME APPS TO DOWNLOAD

WHATSAPP – Once you register for the AMC, your number will be added to the “AMC 2016” WhatsApp channel so you can keep in contact with the church here and receive updates on schedule and activities throughout the conference.

UBER – Uber is in Nigeria! Highly recommended by the Lagos Mission Team, Uber is the safest and most accountable way to travel (It’ll also be your way to the hotel as explained on the next page)

MESSENGER – Always good to keep in contact with the friends and family back home while posting pictures! Also very good for contact with others on the trip.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT THE AIRPORT

MEET YOUR GREETERS

• Pick up your luggage (do not allow any workers to help you with luggage – they will charge you. If they keep insisting, disregard and dismiss them. Your greeters are here to help you.
• Before you exist the customs area, exchange your money at the booth to the far left. You should see a greeter with a Nigerian Flag and an AMC Badge waving at you. Prepare to make this the only exchange you need to make.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ON TO THE HOTEL

You and your luggage will be transported straight to your Hotel by means of Uber or personal arrangements from someone in the Lagos ICC. Once you arrive at your place of stay, you will meet the Hotel welcoming team, who will assist you in how to pay for Uber and where to go for your place of stay

AT THE CONFERENCE!

Once you arrive at the Four Points Sheraton, or your choice of stay, check in, get your luggage to your room and get ready to enjoy the rest of your stay.
