Illustration: BREASTFEEDING INCIDENT! (To the pure all things are pure – Titus 1:15).

Breastfeeding mum sent out of restaurant

by JAYA NARAIN, Daily Mail

A farewell meal with friends ended abruptly when a mother decided to breastfeed her daughter in public.

Tina Wilson and husband John, who are leaving Britain for their native South Carolina, were ejected from the restaurant after staff claimed other diners were offended by her behaviour.

Mrs Wilson said: ‘We were all absolutely dumbfounded and furious.

‘At no point did I show any flesh. I was very discreet.’

The Wilsons and their two friends were in the middle of the first course at The Thyme and Plaice restaurant in Coppull, near Chorley, Lancashire, when two-month-old Isabelle, who was in a car seat carrier, woke up.

OPEN: What does the Bible say about judging people? It is commanded!

1 Corinthians 5

‘12What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.”’

REASONS PEOPLE SAY: YOUR JUDGING ME!

They don’t have an example

Luke 7

‘37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”’

Q: Does the B say – don’t judge at all? NO

Q: What type of judgement does the B condemn? Hypocritical

Q: Why? Because God wants us to have an example. Equality.

Q: What are the most basic things Christians should do? Read the Bible. Go to church, Share their faith.

Judge by appearances

John 7

24 Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment.”

Q: What does it mean to judge by mere appearances? You don’t don’t have the full story!

Q: Is it only those who do bad that can get judged by mere appearances? NO. Jesus had people spend time with him so they could see his life.

Don’t judge using the word of God

John 12

47“As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. 48There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day.

Q: Are judged based on God’s feelings? NO -on his words.

Q: What does Jesus want for everyone? To be saved. If someone points out where you need to change it is not to offend you but so you won’t be offended on judgement day.

Q: What do we need to do when we feel defensive when confronted with the truth? Don’t be defensive but look for the lesson. You need to be able to look your worst in order to be your best. See distrust like God does – sin.

CONCLUSION: The Bible says we are to judge others and ourself using the Bible. If you don’t want to judge others – do you have an example? Tonight if you don’t have judgement from friends in your life using the Bible you should be scared. God wants the best for you and to do what the Bible says.

Challenge: Ask the person who brought you or disciples you what you need to change and have a Bible study
